BOSTON - Sen. Jeff Flake said Monday he was working with the White House counsel's office to ensure that the FBI is able to do a "real investigation" into allegations of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
"We certainly want the FBI to do a real investigation and we are working to make sure that happens. I've had discussions, many yesterday, with my colleagues, with the White House counsel's office, my staff is following up as well. I had one of those conversations just five minutes ago to make sure that the - that any current credible allegation that has been made has been fully investigated," he said at the Forbes' Under 30 Summit.
"It does no good to have an investigation that just gives us more cover for example. We actually need to find out what we can find out," he continued, adding that "we have to realize that we may not be able to find out everything."
Over the weekend, Flake was called a "hero" at the MSNBC Global Citizen Festival when he came out on stage with friend and Democratic colleague, Sen. Chris Coons of Delaware. But here in Boston, protesters gathered outside the Forbes Under 30 Summit where Flake was speaking to decry Kavanaugh's nomination and the allegations against him.

Flake, like Sinema, was a congressman and voted reasonably Conservative. When he ran for his Senate seat, I asked my cousin who lives in his District if he was a good guy, and she answered, ‘I guess’. Sinema spent her time in the House compiling a 60% ‘agrees with Trump’ voting record and is running on that. She doesn’t even identify her self as a Democrat in her ads, ending with the tag line ‘Independent.....Just Like Arizona’. It is tough to assess a person, when they vote moderate/Conservative in the House and then go rogue in the Senate. McCain outright LIED the last time he was elected. He said he would vote against Obamacare. And the time before that, he said he wouldn’t run again.....and he did. AZ doesn’t have a good track record because those running here fool the people with their lies.

This is a background investigation - sadly anything goes. I have been subject to several background investigations for security clearance purposes - and they look into anything and everything. They go way beyond just talking to references you provide - and I’ve had a disgruntled neighbor cause no end of grief by making things up. Neighbor told investigator the County Child Services had investigated us - and even though Child Services explained they didn’t know who we were, had never been here, etc..., we had to write up a laundry list of events with this neighbor to get things cleared up so they could understand the nutcase he was (big liberal - surprise, surprise).
Yes - they will look into things that are not federal crimes. Anything that could impact “character” or potentially be used by someone for blackmail.
There is no investigation. There will be statements from the people interviewed. Then they can draw conclusions. Trump took the bait and said look at anything they want or deem credible when the original statement was very clear.
I know you have to list several people you knew in the past when a FBI investigation is done about you. Some or all of those people are located and interviewed regarding just about everything including drinking, how drunk, and behavior.
With SIX of these month long investigations done on him already, it is feasible that the democrats got this list, and simply contacted them in hopes they would “testify” for a big payout

Sadly, if you want a real investigation, the FBI isn’t the place to go.

The only reason the FBI was called in was because CBF said Mark Judge reacted to her in a Safeway and thereby might be able to shed light on the matter.
RINOs should also know of the existence of conservative Democrats, and of Democrats from areas with severe infrastructure problems.

NO MATTER WHAT the FBI does or investigation it conducts, Flake will not vote for Kavanaugh. This ass hat is dragging a good man’s name through the mud just to get even with Trump. Memo to Jeff, your “no” vote would be sufficient. No need to destroy Kavanaugh and his family in the process.
