I remember all of the consternation back when George W came here to Pennsylvania to campaign for Arlen Specter. No one was quite sure why he would do that.

The general consensus was that if you campaigned against him and he still won, he’d make your life an absolute living hell.

Guess that is what’s going on here with Flake. When you are one of our 100 biggest egomainacs you have the ability to bring our nation to a screeching halt over bruised feelings.

Repeal the 17th. Amendment.

Most likely Flake has already sold his yes vote in exchange for concessions and contracts for the lobbyists who own him; he will be set for life and Kavanaugh will be approved.

It’s the way things are done in DC.

The 17th amendment should have been found to be null and void. It changed the country from a Republic to a Democracy. We are guaranteed a Republican form of government in the US Constitution. It was not a simple matter of changing methods of Senators being elected or appointed. It is the Original Sin against that document IMO.
