Which, incidentally, is the same stuff used to make the best MAID-RITES. I am a burger guy too, but will eat honest-to-God maid-rites and not feel remorse. "Sloppy joes" - ugh - are not the same thing as maid-rites.
First, the meat should be 80/20 lean to fat ratio.

Had to Google Maid-Rite; being a Texan Im not familiar with the brand. Appears their locations are concentrated in the upper Midwest? Anyway, when I want a store-bought burger I usually go to a local hole in the wall eatery named conveniently Moms believe it or not. About quick food franchise burgers; a few weeks back I was at Discount Tire having tires rotated and it was about lunch time. Theres a IHOP next door so decided to go have lunch while waiting. Guess I had their IHOB commercials on the brain si I ordered their burger. Have to say it was very good. And, side note, so were the fries. Anyway, feeling like Wimpy in Popeye cartoons. Showing my age, lol....

Maid-Rite is a distinctly Iowa thing.
I didn’t know they had locations outside Iowa until I searched the name.
They have a location at the Wings Over America truck stop in Avoca, IA.
The first time I saw one it looked like a sloppy joe without the sloppy part.
I never did try one but if I get through Iowa again I’ll make sure to give it a go.
