Violent crime, including murders, are increasing in Denver and Colorado, according to new statistics from police and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Murders in Colorado have jumped 27 percent in the last three years. In 2015 there were 173 murders, while there were 220 in 2017.
...
murders in Denver have increased six percent in the last year. So far in 2018, there have been 51 murders, compared to 48 at this time last year, according to Denver Police.
Police say the increase is because there are more incidents where multiple people have been killed.
...
And for some perspective Detroit is about the same size city as Denver, with a murder rate thats about five times as high.

Meth is the scourge of small towns throughout the country. It is 100s of times more dangerous than marijuana

Hmm. I live in a small town and I don’t see that here. Maybe I missed it. Or it could be the political problem in Denver, where most of this is escalating. You think?

I was in Denver and the surrounding area last month. Denver seems to be taking a sharp turn for the worse. Every green-cross dope “dispensary” appears to be surrounded by homeless people and vacant businesses, even in what had previously been nice areas. The public libraries have become campsites for drifters and addicts. It is sad to see how quickly bad legislation can destroy communities.

It is sad to see how quickly bad legislation can destroy communities. Yeah, like the bend-over-backwards welfare state and sanctuary policies of Denver and Aurora.

Obviously, the problem is pot is too expensive. The state need to subsidize pot for those who need it but can’t afford it. The homeless and those on welfare, for example, should get pot vouchers from the state.
If pot was free, except for those who work, there would be a massive reduction in crime and homelessness. All those beggers would disappear, and no one would rob anyone anymore.

Hmmm, when I went to the pot shop, there wasnt a single panhandler. You should re-read my post. I didn't see the panhandlers at the pot shop.

Hmmmm. I wonder why? Could it be the legalization of that harmless drug marijuana?
Inquiring minds want to know.
