LEXINGTON Jerry Lundergan has retained Washington, D.C. attorney Marc Elias to join his defense team.
Elias is a high-profile political attorney. He served as General Counsel for Hillary for America, Hillary Clintons 2016 presidential campaign. He served in the same position for John Kerrys 2004 presidential campaign. Elias has also represented the Democratic National Committee, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Elias is also well-known for being the person who hired Fusion GPS during Clintons 2016 campaign. Fusion GPS then hired former British spy Christopher Steele, who compiled the Russian dossier that includes salacious details about President Donald Trump.
Lundergan, the father of Secretary of State, Alison Lundergan Grimes, is facing 10 charges in Federal Court. His accused co-conspirator, Democratic strategist Dale Emmons is facing six charges. These stem from allegations that the pair made false statements and filed false reports to the FEC during Grimes 2014 failed Senate campaign.
Both their court dates are set for November 13, although Lundergans attorney has said he plans to ask for a continuance. That paperwork has yet to be filed.

When is the GOP-e going to admit they know nothing about technology and these guys are going to make fools of them.
Just like today
I thought he was hauled off by the sheriffs back in Fargo....
Legend has it people are still searching for that briefcase full of cash.
He’s fleeing the interview!!
“I’m cooperating, here. “
Hahahaha damn. I needed a good laugh tonight
I’m not gonna debate you, Jerry.
Is Grimes up for re-election?
She is term limited for Secretary of State - but it was strongly suspected she that she is, or at least was, planning to run for governor next year and oppose Andy Beshear for the Dem nomination...that would have been an epic clash of two wings of the old Dem establishment. But these latest developments may change her plans...she is also facing ethics charges for her behavior of Secretary of State.
I’m hoping by the end of next year the entirety of this old establishment will be completely out of power.
What a stupidly written article. Are they hiring monkeys to hit keyboards for stories?
Disorganized, no opening context, etc.
No wonder our side is losing.
