In fact, Coons admitted that he was surprised by it.

Remember, Flake was on the same baseball field as Scalise.
Scalise, as House Majority Whip, had a Capitol Hill police security detail with him, which prevented a massacre from taking place that day.
The fact that these two hysterical activists could get that close to a senator is proof that Capitol Hill security is piss poor.

People should be following Sen Flake EVERYPLACE he goes just to show him what the heck it’s going to be like in the near future.
