Well, after Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) requested a delay in the floor vote, the whole nomination process was thrown into chaos again. The Senate Judiciary Committee voted this afternoon to send the Kavanaugh nomination to the Senate floor on a party-line vote. There’s still a lot of drama engulfing the Hill. Now, Sen. John Cornyn says there will be a week long FBI investigation into the allegations of sexual misconduct against Judge Kavanaugh.

How much would you wager the FBI investigators will find a process crime (probably that he lied to the FBI about a traffic ticket in the six previous background check), he will be plead guilty to perjury to avoid financial ruin, will have to resign his current judgeship, will be tossed into solitary confinement for a year (for his own safety), and his lawyer’s office raided? The Dems will have another Trump scalp on the wall and no right-minded person will ever again go into public service.

Yes. I don’t like this anymore than anyone else, but this has been the reality since this Congress started January 5 , 2016. If we don’t get these new Trump senators it continues. The budget they just passed is a joke.
When the FBI report comes back, the Democrats next move will be: “Wait a minute, we can’t vote yet. We just received this report. Now we’ll need additional time to thoroughly examine their findings to see what conclusions can be drawn from it. That will take at least another week.”

Mark my words, his promise to vote for Kavanaugh following another FBI investigation will never happen and he will cite "additional information previously undisclosed" as his reason for his no vote.
