The nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh seemed all but certain a few days ago, until a woman named Christine Blasey Ford came forward accusing him of sexual assault when they were in high school. The alleged crime having taken place decades ago has prompted many to ask: Why did she wait so long?
I can tell you why.
In a word ... Fear
In my freshman year of college, I was the victim of something quite similar, on my 18th birthday. I understand why Dr. Ford remained silent. She was afraid. Afraid that no one would believe her after all, she had been drinking. Fear if it went to court, her sex life would be revealed. Fear she would be judged. Fear her name would be dragged through the mud. And shes not alone.
Rape and sexual assault are the most underreported crimes in our nation. Worldwide, one in three women experience some sexual violence in their lifetime, according to the World Health Organization. Yet it is fear that keeps them from coming forward.
*snip*
Even in light of the #MeToo movement, only a handful will come forward like Dr. Ford. For the rest, the silence continues.
I am guilty of that silence.
...he is a successful professional in [his]chosen career, it sickened me. I wanted to tell someone. But I didnt. Fear prevented me from picking up the phone.

Are they going to throw away Kavanaugh, too?

Judge Kavanaugh was a friggin' high school junior - not a successful professional ADULT! Give me a break!
Trump and the GOP have already thrown away two staunch Conservatives

Oh?
Baloney!
Read the article slower.
She’s talking about someone that she claims sexually attacked her in the past.
She will not reveal who it is or report it.
She was sickened but afraid to report it.
Funny, she says she was attacked, maybe it’s real, but at the same time she supports a woman who is lying about the SC nominee.
“Because she couldt remember anything about it till George Soros waved $10,000 in her face...”
Did he drag it through a trailer park?
Why am I the only one to have pointed out that she never stated having said “No!” during the assault that she remembers so well?
“She needs a financial followup over the next few years.”
If she’s a tenured Stanford prof, she doesn’t need one. Nevertheless, even as a failed witness, she will have a lifetime of well-paid speaking engagements where crazy people will slobber over her bravery and the injustice of the patriarchy.
And no one asked her that.
The dems were probably given a heads up to not ask her that.
And the GOP did not ask ANY questions at all.
Paula Hawkins was the U.S. Senator from Florida who had exposed sexual abuse in her own childhood.
I bet she was also waiting for her grandmother to die because there is still a history of bad stuff about the family to be revealed.
I believe the story is entirely fictitious.
Plus, one of the biggest holes in her story is the entire “I don’t remember who dropped me off at the party, or who took me home from the party.”
That is because she would have to produce names and the would-be drivers would have to state if they indeed did transport a 15-year old girl to a party with no adults, and drinking going on. And they would have to recall specific details, like where and when.
I am convinced more than ever that Ford made the whole thing up...nothing happened to her, she wasn’t there, and there was no “party”.
She is a liar and has obvious serious mental issues.
Bull Shitake.
