WASHINGTON—On the eve of a critical Senate hearing that could decide the fate of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, a third woman came forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct in the early 1980s as partisan anger deepened on both sides.
The revelations shocked Capitol Hill, where Republican lawmakers are seeking to advance a nomination that legal scholars and lawmakers have said could cement a conservative majority.
Judge Kavanaugh’s judicial elevation, once expected to move smoothly through the Senate, now hangs on the votes of a handful of GOP senators who said they were troubled by the late-breaking claims. Sens. Jeff Flake of Arizona, Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska all said they would determine their votes after Thursday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.
With a 51-49 advantage, Republicans can’t afford more than one defection, assuming no Democrat votes for him.

"Roughly a decade ago, Ms. Swetnick was involved in a dispute with her former employer, New York Life Insurance Co., over a sexual-harassment complaint she filed, according to people familiar with the matter. Representing her in the complaint was the firm run by Debra Katz, the lawyer currently representing Dr. Ford. The company ultimately reached a financial settlement with Ms. Swetnick, the people said.
A spokesman for New York Life confirmed that Ms. Swetnick worked there as an agent for less than two years, from 2006 to 2008. She didn’t list her work there on a résumé posted online.
A spokeswoman for Ms. Katz declined to comment."
How many times will the hearing have to be stopped or slowed down by the accuser breaking down “crying?”
She has had practice sessions and her testimony will be choregraphed heavily.

Swetnick claimed that in 1981-82, she “became aware of efforts” by Kavanaugh, Judge, and others to “spike” the punch “at house parties I attended” with the intent of incapacitating a girl who could then be gang raped.
She said she witnessed Kavanaugh and Judge lining up outside a room waiting for their “turn.”
At no time did this "women's advocate" report criminal activities against young women to L/E authorities.
She also said that in 1982, she was a victim of gang rape, while drugged, with Kavanaugh and Mark Judge “present.”
However, according to the NYT, “Ms. Swetnick grew up in Montgomery County, Md, graduating from Gaithersburg HS in 1980
then attending college at the University of Maryland, according to a résumé for her posted online. "
Ergo, Swetnick was an adult attending parties with HS kids.
Judge Kavanaugh graduated from Georgetown Prep in 1983.

In 1993, she filed a criminal harassment complaint with state prosecutors in Maryland against a podiatrist and his wife, alleging repeated phone calls, according to court records, but the case was withdrawn two months after it was filed.
In 2001, Ms. Swetnick was the defendant in a domestic-violence case filed by Richard Venneccy in Miami-Dade County, Fla. The case was dismissed when both parties failed to appear in court in March of that year, according to court documents reviewed by the Journal.”
Records show Ms. Swetnick also had recent run-ins with tax authorities. In 2015, Maryland’s comptroller filed a lien against her in Anne Arundel County, a suburb of Baltimore and Washington, for more than $30,000 in unpaid taxes. The state demanded about the same amount in interest and penalties for a total bill of $62,821. The state released the lien in 2016.
In 2017, the Internal Revenue Service filed a lien on Ms. Swetnick’s Washington apartment for $40,303 in unpaid taxes, and released it in March, saying the tax bill had been paid.
Linking opposition to Kav w/ fund-raising looks suspiciously like Democrat blackmail.
She and other Democrats are scrounging for campaign money on the back of Kavanaugh's nomination.

It BETTER NOT decode Kavanaugh's fate. If the Senate Republicans cannot stand strong and confirm this nominee, I am truly done with them. I will consider the FedGov a lost cause, which it almost is now.

Giustra's $100 million contributions go directly: (1) to the tax-exempt Clinton Foundation, and, (2) to the Canada-based "Clinton-Giustra Enterprise Partnership." The NY Times reported the "Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership" collected about $33 million US tax dollars from Hillary's State Dept between 2008 and 2013.....$25 million of which was passed back across the border to the US-based Clinton Foundation. Giustra then pledged $100 million to the Foundation after Clinton helped him clinch the mega-bucks uranium deal.
ITEM---millions of dollars and 1,100 donors are shrouded in mystery in the Canadian Giustra/Clinton operation. The Clinton Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Obama White House agreeing to reveal its contributors every year. The agreement stipulates that the Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative (as the charity was then-known) is part of the Clinton Foundation and must follow the same protocols.

Caught w/ his pants down, Giustra/s backtracking like crazy---saying Canadas federal privacy law forbids the Canadian-registered Clinton charity, from revealing its donors. A memo he provided news organs cites fiduciary obligations to its contributors and Canada’s Personal Information Privacy and Electronic Disclosure Act. “We are not allowed to disclose even to the Clinton Foundation the names of our donors,” Giustra says.
However, Canadian tax and privacy law experts were dubious of the Clinton/Giustra claims. A former director knowledgeable about tax policy at Canada's Department of Finance, said he wasnt aware of any tax laws that would prevent the Clinton charity from releasing its donor names. " There's nothing that would preclude them from releasing donor names. It's entirely up to them."
