Kavanaugh's confirmation process for his seat on the D.C. Court of Appeals took THREE YEARS. You'd have to be almost pathologically ambitious, focused and disciplined to put up with that.

He isn't going anywhere.

I don't think the Senate will ever reject his nomination, either. They'd rather stall it without making a decision ... and let Trump fill the spot with short-term recess appointments.
