Let’s say she was 19 at the time. Most people graduate when they’re 18 and only the oldest members of a class turn 19 during the summer after they graduate.
From my experience, girls moved on to college parties and college boys as soon as they threw their high school caps in the air...meaning they were immediately gone from the HS scene. Furthermore, I remember any kid who had graduated HS and came to a HS party after graduation was considered a loser and if a girl, well she was only there to voluntarily service the popular boys and had no respect for herself or from others whatsoever.
Sounds like Swetnick may have been one of these girls.

1. Julie is two years older than Brett and Mark and their classmates, so she's repeatedly hanging out with younger kids (or is a "super-senior"). A 17-19 year old female from a different school hanging out with 15-17 year old students. Think back to your own high school parties and ask how common this was.
2. She's from a public high school at least a half hour drive away from Brett's posh private school. While not at all unheard of, it's nevertheless rare from crossover socializing like this in tony high school parties.
3. She attends ten parties between 1981-83, witnessing "gang rapes," and continuing to attend.
4. She claims Brett and Mark are continually spiking the punch and arranging the gang rapes.
5. She accuses 15-17 year old Brett of inappropriately grabbing and fondling of girls, and attempting to get them to expose parts of their bodies.
6. She accuses teenaged Brett of grinding against girls (please see archive film footage of dancing styles in the late 1970s through the early 1980s, and note whether this was the common styles, reciprocated by female dance partners).
7. She alleges that she was raped in 1982 as part of one of these alleged gang rapes that allegedly regularly took place at the ten parties she allegedly attended. Neither Brett nor Mark are alleged to have participated in the actual rape.
8. And yet despite this terrible allegation, she continued to attend parties with the very same people, including 15-17 year old Brett and Mark, for another year.
If true, surely the streets of Maryland would be littered with the numerous other victims of these gang rape parties Julie alleges happened, and there must be a flood of them who came forward over the last three months to make their own complaints against Brett once he was nominated.
And clearly Julie was so traumatized that she would have immediately told others of her ordeal and immediately stopped attending these rape parties.
And surely Julie was so repulsed by Brett's nomination to the Supreme Court that she rushed to tell this allegation to anyone and everyone back in July, or when Trump released his pre-election list of potential nominees for the future court.

She hasn’t listed any names, save Kavanaugh and Judge. Convenient because there’s no one else who could be called on to corroborate her account. Probably she doesn’t want to get sued.
At least Ford and Ramirez listed names.
Any of the above, two people who were there for whatever reason, or may not have been there.. but for enough money will tell them they were.. best case scenario and what I’m expecting is another women who will lie & said he did it to me also.
This entire circus has been in the works since July. Every lie has been well contructed. The dems will leave nothing to chance. If this women is lying for money, what are the odds they couldn’t find another women who will lie for money.
One more women comes forward and says I was also gang banged by BK and his drunken buddies at a party, BK is done, whether it’s a lie or not.
That’s been the plan, I would be shocked if they don’t have another liar waiting to go...
They better keep the vote for Friday. If not, then Grassley needs to tell all 3 of these women to get in front of camera and make their case NOW. Why would they delay if its true. Make the case and then let Kavanaugh make his case.

I hope you understand. I was defending Kavanaugh strongly until I went to bed last night. I admit to being torn. Here’s my post on the other thread:

If you grew up after the 1960s and before AIDS, the tv shows your family had on every evening didn’t have chaste Lucy and Ricky in marital separate beds, or discreet hints like later on. Every week the star bedded a new woman. Every week that one was gone and he got another. That is your childhood introduction to sex’s place in society.
Adults were having so much cheap sex, so much cheating on spouses, and it won’t shock you to know there was a lot of adult on child sex as well, with little suspicion from parents.
Songs of the day reflected the mores of as much sex as possible.
At “open” parties there were even girls who WILLINGLY would have sex with multiple guys. I never attended a party where girls were obviously gang raped. But I knew a girl who got drunk and let such a thing happen. She was not happy after, and did attempt suicide at some point. But she wanted one of the guys so she thought doing the whole crowd would help her “get” him? Thst is the thought process of an immature teen.
And I did have the experience of having a drug put into my drink etc. with only one perp. So when I read this statement, I tended to believe it because none of it is out of the realm of my personal experience in those years.
There is defense of Kavanaugh and then there is blind disbelief no matter what. Some of you thought Cosby was being targeted because he told young black men to act responsibly. No, he really was drugging women and sexually abusing their comatose bodies. Who knows how many, probably hundreds.
I’ve seen personally the kind of behavior described in the affidavit from young men/boys, and I’ve seen much WORSE from grown adults in high positions. So I can see both sides, not only the side you all see of a good man being railroaded, but I can also see a bad man having cloaked himself in the highest respectability to get away with more evil.
Also, it is possible to stop bad behavior in youth and turn your life around. Maybe you are both right: the latest accuser AND all the FReepers who know Kavenaugh to be a good man and judge for decades.
I don’t want to hear about one victim who was groped at one high school party 35 years ago. Non sequitur for choosing a SC Justice. But if he was one of the young men who routinely treated women like objects at 17, even if all he did was harm them by drugging drinks, I’d not want him to have a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court. As Dennis Prager says, there are gradations of sin. Gd is not an idiot.
If this latter accuser is not lying, then Kavanaugh doesn’t deserve the appointment even after living an exemplary life post college. Choose a person whose character was always generally decent. There is a difference between a one time sexual fumbling and a pattern of knowingly trying to abuse girls.
Agree, but this last story with no investigation or testimony give Flake, Murkowski & Collins the cover the need to vote NO.
That shows that it is a political hit.
Grassley needs to proceed with it this way. Tell the accusers and their lawyers to take the claims to the local law and let them investigate. Then bring the findings to the senate.
The senate cannot be held hostage with every accusation.
