Federal officials will likely reject legal migrants requests for visas or green cards if they cannot speak English, says a draft regulation from President Donald Trumps Department of Homeland Security.

As it should be.
The Bush family has been trying to turn the USA into North Mexico for 30 years.
Well, if they have been it this country on green cards for a long time, then they have had ample time to learn english.
Non-English TV and radio broadcasts here in the States should be prohibited.
If you’re not speaking English in your home, then the U S is not your home.
and expect an Obama Judicial Dictator in 3, 2, 1...
Perfectly logical.
The George HW Bush family had all kinds of Mexican gofers and slaves tending to their needs in Huston. Cooking cleaning gardening and so on.
Sounds like a good plan.
That won’t happen. None of my grandparents spoke English and they came here circa 1910.
That’s gonna trigger many.
HA! Finally!
That wont happen. None of my grandparents spoke English and they came here circa 1910.

Yes, BUT they were WILLING to learn and made sure ALL of their family learned how to speak ENGLISH (American).
I grew up with some 2nd & 3rd Generation Italians and while Italian may have been used in the Grandparents home, only English in my ‘pals’ homes..AT least while we were around.
My one particular pal was a real dark haired swarthy Italian type, I was typical ‘Ruddy’ Irish but our grandkids - for all practical purposes - look like ‘each other’...very light skinned & more blondish than not - but I do have ONE (out of 5) gkids that is ‘darker’ complected and resembles me in my yute.
His ‘red headed’ Older bro & sis used to refer to him as “our little Mexican Brother” in terms as nice as sibs can get.
My daughter (and Wife) ‘dirty blondish’ and my SIL redheaded.
A couple days ago I was in Home Depot and saw a poster that said something like "we speak your language", and that the Spanish-speaking customers could request help in Spanish. It was on the far end of the store by the lumber, not in the light bulb aisle. Maybe they are all over the store, but it got me thinking...
Why are enough non-English speaking foreigners working on permanent home projects, such that Home Depot is eager to enable non-assimilation?
Probably the same reason that EBT cards never go away. They are spent in stores, and stores are always competing for more business. Never mind that the money on those cards is surreptitiously removed from other customers' pockets.
Guess it's a corporate thing. I can't recall hearing Spanish spoken around here ever.
All 4....never learned English.
My great grandmother ONLY spoke German to make sure we grandkids did NOT know what she was talking about. AND, she made us stand for the National Anthem...when it was on TV. She would agree with this rule. LEARN ENGLISH if you want to be American.
In Southern California many retailers routinely use signage in English and Spanish
NZ has an English language requirement:
It really jumped out in these parts because the Spanish speaking population is about nil, unless they are all living under a rock somewhere.
It could be worse. Better Spanish than Arabic. We can thank Obama for doing his best to import and establish invasive species. Funny, you’d think the environmentalists would have a concern about that. Talk about selective outrage.
Same in Oregon.
My grandfather was picked up by the police walking home from work after the Weyerhaeuser baby was kidnapped. At that time he was a new arrival from Norway and spoke very little English. My grandmother, had two little kids, my mother and my uncle and no one knew what happened to the sole provider for the family until he was released 3 days later.
After that my grandfather learned in English in record time. This helped him immensely. He started his own very successful printing business and became a leader in the community.
