One story is that he said he was quitting and was told that if he did there would be legal consequences for him that he might not like. Second, what the hell is to be gained by waiting until after the election to fire someone who is dirty and undermining the President? Does the President get special powers after the midterms?
I can tell you things remain exactly the same as long as we hold the house. So there is nothing to be gained by waiting.
On the other hand if the President does not fire Rosenstein and Sessions or anyone else before the midterms and we LOSE the house his entire Presidency will be in jeopardy. Since you think he's should hold off firing Rosenstein until after the election what do you think it will look like if the President starts firing DOJ officials immediately after losing the house to the DEMS? I can tell you it would look like the end and they would hang obstruction charges all over him.
This wait until after the midterms crap is just plain stupid tactics. There is NOTHING to be gained by keeping these traitors around. The deep state has been playing this "wait until the after the midterms" head fake for over a year.
