What part of serves at the pleasure of the President is not understood in this thread?
Second, what the hell is to be gained by waiting until after the election to fire someone who is dirty and undermining the President? Does the President get special powers after the midterms?
I can tell you things remain exactly the same as long as we hold the house. So there is nothing to be gained by waiting.
On the other hand if the President does not fire Rosenstein and Sessions or anyone else before the midterms and we LOSE the house his entire Presidency will be in jeopardy. Since you think he's should hold off firing Rosenstein until after the election what do you think it will look like if the President starts firing DOJ officials immediately after losing the house to the DEMS? I can tell you it would look like the end and they would hang obstruction charges all over him.
This wait until after the midterms crap is just plain stupid tactics. There is NOTHING to be gained by keeping these traitors around. The deep state has been playing this "wait until the after the midterms" head fake for over a year.
Amen.
It is not our understanding of correct protocol. It is what will be done. Impeachment needs nothing in the way of actual crimes to proceed. But for political reasons the reps need a seemingly legal “crime” or precedent to hang it on. The “crime” and precedent is Nixon’s firing of Jaworski. Have patience. Justice rushed is Justice Incomplete. Everybody round here is totally bummed because Trump didn’t put the handcuffs on the immediately known perps the day after the Inauguration. Such have the patience of four year olds.
