Democrat Andrew Gillum has a 5-point lead over Ron Desantis (R) in the upcoming Florida gubernatorial election, according to a poll released Tuesday.
The NBC/Marist Poll found that 48 percent of likely voters surveyed said they would vote for Gillum if the election were held today, while 43 percent said they'd support DeSantis. Seven percent of those surveyed said they remain undecided.
Results are expectedly skewed based on party affiliation, with 90 percent of Democrats backing Gillum and 86 percent voicing support for DeSantis.

Transplants from the northeast, fleeing high taxes, have immigrated to Florida because they can't afford what they voted for. That and the snowbird northeasters who vote in two states, in person here and absentee in their home state.
The RNC spends money on candidates beloved by the open borders chamber of commerce/globalists. Perhaps they're waiting on DeSantis to call for abolishing ICE before letting the money flow. Sadly, Trump does not control the RNC.
Thanks. I was being silly, I was thinking for a while that Republicans needed to go to the polls. I guess we shouldn’t bother, we are going to win.
Cruz put a bad taste in people’s mouths at the convention 2 years ago. It wasn’t needed, Trump was the nominee, period. So now when Cruz needs to fire up the base, he’s having trouble and needs Trump’s help.
It was a dumb move by Cruz, but I will agree that he’s been fine since he came around from that (a few weeks after)...but memories are long, especially with conservatives.
Ugh.
Time to run ads defining Gillum for what he is: a tax increasing, gun grabbing socialist who wants Florida to become just like Cuba.
If this were actually true, and he won Turn out the lights,The Party’s over”

Unlike the senate polling, Baris says DeSantis trails. Says he is not exploiting Gillum’s Island’s socialism, that he is not doing well with Hispanics (Scott it killin’ it) and that he is not doing well with some suburban whites (Scott is).
It’s about a 2 point Gillum’s Island lead right now.
How do you know that? Please explain the anger, and I mean true anger at Scott because of the red tide.
Not everything in life is about Trump and this is one of them. But thanks for your concern.
A couple of Trump rallies should fix that.
Polls can be wrong. Ask Hillary!
Does DeSantis really want to win? His TV ads are Pablum.
The Red Tide on the Gulf coast has been bad up and down the coast. Liberal protesters ambushed Scott at a Sarasota stop, got him a load of bad press and he then canceled the following day’s event. Florida is a purple state, not much margin for errors or bad fortune.
conservatives hang up on pollsters
I’d lie to them anyway. I want to see polls so discredited they don’t even bother with them anymore.
Gee, if all those dumb Texas fair-weather conservatives dislike Cruz, they’re gonna love the Irish phony Mexican leftist Robert O’Rourke.
Has Scott (or anyone) done anything to stop/lessen the Lake O discharges or help the algae situation?
They had Scott winning in 2010. In 2014, RCP averages gave Crist a 0.6% lead. Scott won by 1.1%.
That attitude is going to doom is this November.
Right. If you think Disney World is expensive now, just wait until their taxes triple.
