This is happening to Christianity everywhere not just the Catholic Church. Already Christians I know say homosexuality is really no more a sin that plain fornication. There is a deception eating its way into the Church.

Funny how fast they moved to remove him, yet how long it takes to do anything about abusers.

Makes you think that the good bishops prefer poofters.

Choose who you serve, or you will be served.

The archbishop of Chicago removed a Roman Catholic priest as head of a city church after he burned a rainbow banner with a group of parishioners.

The archbishop of Chicago appears to be clearly in error for removing a holy priest for unholy reasons.

Is the archbishop of Chicago too protective of the millions of federal dollars he receives? Is he forcing the leftist Democrat version of social justice (everyone is a victim) onto Catholics? Should he not, instead, give priority to Catholic teaching?

We pray that the Lord again grants His grace to the archbishop of Chicago.

Mary, Queen of the clergy, pray for them.

The church refused to draw the line at fornication.

All churches. My current pastor is trying to, and he is getting blasted by the women in church. Many have gone to another Lutheran parish.

The lure of full coffers was enough in the 50’s to remove the distinction on fornication and adultery.

We have along way to go to rebuild civilization

Cardinal Blase Cupich relieved the Rev. Paul Kalchik but not one homosexual priest in the entire diocese. He is kind of hypocritical. He provides cover for queer priests but relieves a priest who objects. He is exemplary of why the Church continues to suffer from what the queer priests have done.

Cardinal Cupich was appointed Archbishop of Chicago by Pope Francis on September 20, 2014.

“I act out of concern for Fr. Kalchik’s welfare and that of the people of Resurrection Parish,”

How about acting out of concern for the fidelity of the Gospels?

Time for MAJOR housecleaning of the Church!

With 50% of the priests being gay, and another 20% OK with it, there would be no one left to lead.

The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ for people of all nations

That's a lie. Each individual city church stands on its own. That's plain to see in Revelation, where each of the 7 churches were each judged on their own obedience.

Roman household gods were called pupi.

Roman mariners built a bit of a platform in the stern upon which to place and revere their pupi.

Corrupted at some point to “poop deck.”

Sorry that I don’t speak old Irish, so I can’t say what Saint Patrick would have called it with any more precision than “pupi (old Irish for deck).”

Still, in my opinion, it’s better to get that tiny bit of precision than not.

I say this in charity and not in malice.

Your posts stands in demonstration of the fact that it is possible to try as hard as one can and still misunderstand the Scriptures.

I expect you will find great joy in that.

It’s amazing just how much there is.

Salvation posted some great stuff about Saint Alphonsus Liguori some years back. Food for the spirit. Saint Francis de Sales also wrote some truly great things.

He didn’t burn the flag. Parishioners did it.
