This is turning into a more ridiculous spectacle than the Kavanaugh confirmation process. Maybe that’s the intent. LOL.

He should be under 24 hour surveillance. He’ll destroy everything he can in the next few days. I wouldn’t even shadow him, I’d have him escorted everywhere he goes.

I don’t agree. Again this looks weak on the part of POTUS.

Not at all. He’s being baited into firing RR and he isn’t take it. Dems want October to be all about “chaos” in the Trump admin. Not the great economic news.

Rosenstein is 53, and has been working for DOJ since 1990, giving him about 18 years of service. He needs 20 years to become fully vested in his pension benefits.

That would put Solicitor General Noel Francisco in charge of the Russia probe.

To cute by half. The base matters. We want scalps. I want scalps. The stakes are too high.

President Trump please trust your gut and stop listening to lawyers. We voted for you not a bunch of candy a$$ JD's.

Be large and take charge!

Yes, ego certainly, power may be. If my boss was constantly making remarks about my performance being sub-par (Sessions) I would look for another job. If I disliked my boss so much I was plotting to get him fired (Rosenstein), I would have the decency to look for a transfer or quit.

Since all these players are millionaires as you point out, why they stick around waiting to get fired? That has to be a blow to their ego’s. Better resign before getting fired.

And yet you don’t know even 1% of what Trump knows about the situation. And you have plenty of evidence in other places that he’s making progress in major ways on the economy and foreign policy. You have evidence that there are grand jury investigations of the people that have been fired from the Justice Dept and FBI.

So, yes, there can be many good reasons to keep him around a couple more days. There can be plenty of reasons why it’s better for him to resign than be fired. But all you Monday morning quarterbacks are bitching about the winning team just because they don’t play your style of ball.

RR is playing hard ball.

Trump is in an interesting spot. The DOJ is working against, and is looking to remove him (not to mention they haven’t released the FISA warrant yet). Any action Trump makes now looks politically motivated.

So if RR is fired, that makes Trump look bad. If RR gets away with ignoring a command, that makes Trump look incompetent. Move RR to counting cattle in the high plains (stock investigator, real position) and let him alternately burn and freeze in the high plains weather. They could use some extra help too.

And to be honest, plays well with current events.

Instead of firing Rosenstein, could the President simply eliminate the position? It was created by order of the Attorney General in 1950 and has subsequently been referenced in the Code of Federal Regulations. Just a thought, I don’t know if it is possible or what advantage there would be in doing that.

“taking no questions about the goings on in DC”

Of course not.

How on earth would he answer questions on a subject he knows nothing about?
