The impression I get from the MSM and the sports writers/commentators is that they want him to stay destroyed. They salivated over every minute of his personal and professional decline and it galls them to see him return. The gallery was deafening while the commentators seemed hell bent and determined to see Rose win. Bit of premature celebration there. LOL
Then you have the wrong impression. Ever since his comeback, it has been "Tiger, Tiger, Tiger". I watch a fair amount of PGA Golf (golf and baseball are the only sports I watch now), and they pump up Tiger every chance they get. The commentators were so excited about Tiger's return to form that Rose's Fedex Cup win was anti-climactic for them.
