“Vote now whether you have the votes or not”

Bingo. Mitch should bring it to a vote on the senate floor ASAP.

Grassley failed. He should never have accommodated Ford without concrete evidence of wrongdoing. Now there will be a lineup of bimbos requesting their own hearings based on vague remembrances.

What makes Ford's case different is that she didn't just run to the Washington Post or New Yorker magazine. She wrote a letter to her U.S. Senator on the Judiciary Committee.

That's the only reason she has been given any accommodation here at all.

That's also why she can't come and testify before this committee. She has to sign a sworn statement before she can even walk in the room. Her lawyers are acting like they're still "negotiating terms of her testimony," but they already know she won't even do THAT.

Grassley should have stuck to his original deadline and held the vote. He caved to the nasty dems and they doubled down. How stupid can you get. Do they realize that this could do damage in November with Republican voters. I’m voting and would never not vote, but I can see how some would just say what’s the point. Man up Grassley.
