Any Freepers here live in Missouri? What is it like? I grew up in New York city and escaped from that hell 7 years ago, moved to Pennsylvania for a few years then moved back the New york to Long Island NY to live with my mom as she is having medical problems. It really really sucks here, it’s a state run 100% by rats so just imagine. The property taxes are $12,000 a year alone and I definitely want to get her and the rest of our family the hell out of here.
I live in Springfield and have lived in MO all my life except 3 yrs in Iowa.
The southern half of MO is fairly red GOP, with several recreational lakes and the Ozarks Mtns (small). I paid abt $2200 property tax 2017 for a 4 BR, walkout basement, not a huge lot.
I know Long Island has drug problems, we do too here. Meth, increasing heroin probs, etc. Rural and urban both.
