The tussle over the Sand Hill Property Co. projects fate simmered at Tuesdays nine-hour City Council meeting, leading to an extended, five-hour hearing Wednesday.

According to the sales pitch, the new housing units would include low-income high-density housing apartments, said one Cupertino resident at Tuesday nights meeting. This would mean that we would have uneducated people living in Cupertino. A lot of other residents and I are concerned that this would make the current residents of Cupertino uncomfortable, and would split our city in half.

Egads!
Vallco used to be a relatively upscale mall with indoor ice rink.
uneducated? Tough, too bad, if this is a majority rat voting area. These same people want to stuff MS-13 members into the communities of us peasants.
Low income housing in the middle of Cupertino?
So a 1br condo will only sell for 800k minimum
projects bring drugs and druggies.
low income also means problems resulting from inequality that are pretty much insoluable.
I’d vote no on the basis that we don’t need those people here
Those who do not understand Cupertino, don’t know that it is China Central and they are as racist against anyone who is not Han Chinese.
They are notorious.
Years ago when I still lived in Sunnyvale, a man was caught hunting the ducks at the park across from De Anza Jr. College in Cupertino.
It is basically a colony of mainland China and is also the main reason housing prices as WAY high. It is alien to anything in the rest of the USA.
I was a clean-cut employee of at that time was a big 8 accounting firm and a Chinese woman would not rent her apartment to me because I was not Chinese.
I won’t even go into their terrible driving.
My God, these last seven years in Omaha have just been solid gold.
(except that ideologue elitist Ben Sasse - ;-)
Trust me, it’s totally Dem in Cupertino.
I could jump from the roof of all the limousines of the libs and never touch the ground from Cupertino up the peninsula to the Golden Gate. Like a year 1600 squirrel from tree to tree from the Mississippi to the Chesapeake and never touch the ground.
I agree...Valco and Cupertino are indeed a Chinese colony and I have enjoyed these past 10 years in Scottsdale, with no thoughts of returning to Sunnyvale...ever
Wow! What happened to Vallco. Upscale
Mall when I moved away 20 years ago.
