So, SNL has become banal and nothing but a self-parody. I knew that.
If we see that SNL is winning we ought to help Chevy Chase and if Chevy Chase is winning we ought to help SNL, and that way let them kill as many as possible, although I don't want to see Chevy Chase victorious under any circumstances.

“Chevy Chase Basically Hates the Current SNL”
#metoo
SNL hasn’t been funny since the original crew left ...
Rush Limbaugh credited Chevy Chase with electing Jimmuh Carter with Chase’s iimitation of Gerald Ford falling all over the place (Geerald Ford had a tick knee from his football days).
The early years were great. Bill Murray replacing Chevy in year 2 was a step up. After that it became hit or miss along with a series of bad producers. And how was Al Franken/Tom Davis ever on this show? They bored me even long before I knew what a jerk Franken was.
Guys like Phil Hartman and Dana Carvey were nice finds along the way.
But when they fired Chris Farley and Adam Sandler, two of the shows highlights, I gave up pretty much on SNL entirely.
He expresses his ideas poorly, 'ya know what I mean?'.
No, Chevy, I don't. You have to TELL me what you mean.
Everyone of these guys made me laugh till my sides hurt.
After year II when they were gone, so were the laughs.
Id have to say, that after the first two years, it went downhill, Chase said.”
For once I agree with Chevy Chase.
There are some funny people in the cast. But the writing is so singled minded that even if it was funny it would get tiring after a few minutes.
This Just In: Chevy Chase’s Career is still dead.
SNL became unwatchable after Dennis Leary and Dennis Miller left.
Lorne Michaels wouldn’t know funny if it farted in his face. Who are these worthless losers he has on SNL? Totally unwatchable. That said, Chase last funny movie was Christmas Vacation, so not much he can boast about. RIP Belushi, Hartman, Ratner, Farley and Mike Donahue!

enjoy everyone !
I can’t figure out the folks who are saying, “SNL sucks, I haven’t looked at it for twenty years.”
If you haven’t looked, how do you know it sucks?
I set aside one Saturday night a year to take a look at it. A test. My opinion is that it sucks, and I’m resigned to having to take another look at the new season before consigning it to the depths. But at least I know what I’m talking about.
They lost me long ago, cuz they werent funny. That one night when Andrew Dice Clay was on and that unfunny tall brunette Chick stayed home in protest was kinda funny, just because of that. (Call me Not PC.)
Yeah, she was not on because a house fell on her. That was good.
The Sam Kinison one was good too, but he died in 1992.
I have seen maybe 5 episodes in 35 years.
Their early Hillary sketches were good but someone must a phone call. They really toned it down until they finally just became part of her 2016 campaign.
SNL is still on-air? Whooda thunk.
It stopped being funny decades ago.
