Republicans haven’t officially made the decision to press forward with federal judge Brett M. Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination, but they appear likely to have the votes to do so.
Three key GOP senators have fallen in line with the arguments put forward by their colleagues. They said that Christine Blasey Ford has been given a chance to share the story of her accusation against Kavanaugh in a hearing setting, and encouraged her to testify — even without the FBI investigation she says must come first.
After learning of the allegation, Chairman @ChuckGrassley took immediate action to ensure both Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh have the opportunity to be heard, in public or private. Republicans extended a hand in good faith. If we don’t hear from both sides on Monday, let’s vote.

If the Democrat Party organ WaPo is saying this, they must want it over quick, before too much comes out about their attempted smear job - it must be melting down quick.

If I were a squishy R or D senator, I’d be royally pissed off at this pathetic stunt. It’s down right sabotage and if it works on Kavanaugh, it can work exactly the same way on each of them.
If they allow this nonsense to stand, it’s open season on every one of them. And they will wish that they practiced the ‘Mike Pence Rule’ - never alone with a woman with the door shut. He says, She says, blah, blah blah.
Don’t anyone doubt that nearly all of the senators have groped a girl or two at some point in their life. DC is not a Bible camp.
They can ignore her garbage and vote, or let the games begin, boys.
I honestly believe Collins was ticked even before this smear.
They tried to bribe her first and then went with the threats. Even jack@ss, Stephen King, got into the act.
FBI refuses, has no jurisdiction. She refuses to speak without their investigation.
Game Over. She loses. Dems weep, wine and wail.
