I’m guessing the husky watched these critters every day from it’s own yard?
When I was a kid i’d walk our German Shepard and about half way down the block was a house with a small poodle that would run from the porch to the curb yapping like the little ankle biter it was.
My dog would strain on it’s leash to get at it and that seems to push the poodle into higher troll mode.
One day our dog got loose and main-lined it to the poodle’s house and caught it in the front yard. Shook it like a rag doll for a bit and let go of it when I got there and left it with two nice abdominal puncture wounds.
From then on the dog never left it’s porch when I walked the dog.
OMG! I laughed so hard at your poodle story! I hope you gave your dog extra treats! (psst..don’t tell anyone, but I’m a fan and owner of a big dog..I’d rather be pet-less than have one of those little yippy dogs!)
