A Fairfax County focus group this summer found many college students who have gotten an absentee ballot simply fail to send it back because a U.S. Postal Service stamp seems to be a foreign concept to them.
One thing that came up, which I had heard from my own kids but I thought they were just nerdy, was that the students will go through the process of applying for a mail-in absentee ballot, they will fill out the ballot, and then, they dont know where to get stamps, Lisa Connors with the Fairfax County Office of Public Affairs said.
That seems to be like a hump that they cant get across.

Don’t colleges have post offices? Mine did.
Never mind where to get a stamp, they don’t even know how to write an address and address a letter. I have made it a point to teach my kids. Thank you notes to Grandma do the trick.
That saying makes me homesick :(
You gotta be kidding. Can’t they ask Siri?
I bet there are college kids today who have never properly addressed and mailed a letter before in their lives.
I can understand not knowing where to get a stamp. I can’t understand not being able to figure it out, even without a sphere of friends, professors, and smartphones.
Heaven help us if these kids ever learn how to work a postage stamp.
bullstalin.
how do males 18-25 go to register with selective service (unlike Barack Obama)?
I keep 20 stamps on hand, probably email 12 to 15 letters per year.
I agree- many of younger do not use snail mail.
They sell them througb my bank's ATM and at Walmart and the drug store.
I have no doubt their school would give them a stamp if they are voting dem.
Truth is it's just not that important to them.
Their low info voters havent figured out how to mail in an absentee ballot.
Shockah. Blue Wave, indeed.
And the oldest millenials will be old enough to run for President in 2020.
Not surprising.. the majority of colleges teach useless crap to brain dean morons by far left idiots.
Good. Too many college student have had their brains turned to mush with professors like Christine Blasey Ford
If they are that stupid then they don’t belong in college.
It’s possible they’ve never bought a postage stamp, never seen anyone buy a postage stamp, or ever had a need to go to the post office. I don’t think I’ve mailed anything domestically in years.
There's not much meaning or purpose to learn how to use the postal service these days. Might as well ask these kids if they know how to send a telegraph.
I’m sure the democrat bureaucrats will be able to find a solution for that crisis. Establish a board of stamp givers at every university to provide free stamps and a training session on how to use it for every college student who is lacking in this very important piece of cultural knowledge.
