Why wouldn’t POTUS simply request that all these documents be sent to him in advance, because he can see them, then just release them himself when he wants to? Why does he have to have the DOJ, FBI etc do it? Maybe if they don’t comply he will do this?
I would suggest that he already knows that the documents will be relased as he directed.

He is their boss! If they do not comply immediately, he can and will fire them. If they don’t follow his orders it will be a Constitutional Crisis and he is Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.
