“Police say Evelyn Rodriguez of Long Island was hit Friday afternoon in Brentwood after getting in a dispute with the driver of a 2016 Nissan Rouge.
Congressman Peter King says it happened about an hour before a planned memorial for her daughter, Kayla Cuevas.
The pair had been arguing over the placement of the memorial and when the driver tried leaving the scene, they hit Rodriguez.
Suffolk Police said that the woman was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore but she was pronounced dead - two years to the day that her daughter’s body was discovered.
The driver called police and stayed on the scene. The driver is said to be a relative of someone who lived in the area.”
Smells like she went all nutso on the driver and stood in front of him/her and wouldn’t let him leave.
Pretty much eliminates a gang hit. A hired killer would have been in the wind and back in Central America by now. Besides a professional assassin isn't going to publicly argue with her and call attention to himself before he ran her over.
