Dick started out as a tenor in male ingenue roles, later shifted to hard boiled roles in film noir, worked as a director and then finished in television with his own anthology series. His death from a heart attack at a young age ended a fine career far too soon.
Busby Berkeley’s choreography is stunning and true cutting edge work.
