She was basically sent from an anchor job on their flagship show, to working in the basement mailroom. I’m sure she thought she would return in triumph at some point, but finally figured out it was not gonna happen. She may land a spot on some other sports network, or may end up wishing she had kept her cushy but invisible job in the basement.
