You're headed down the road in your car and a kid, on a bike, heads straight for you and pops a wheelie right next to your car, or near a parked car. It's dangerous and it's a fad that just won't die in New Jersey, police say.
The stunts are called "swerving" -- or intentionally biking in the path of vehicles while performing tricks. Sometimes, large groups of teens will do this together, just to confound traffic.
In response, N.J. towns have taken to local Facebook groups and public forums to air concerns about this dangerous practice, and local police departments are issuing notices that they could issue arrests for kids they find doing this.
“Not to belittle any fun, but it is a community safety issue,” Logan Township Lt. Joseph Flatley told NJ Advance Medi

When we were little my brother swerved his bike to run over a rattle snake...right into the path of a car going 60 mph.
There wasn’t much left of his bike, but he landed on the car hood and survived with lots of cuts and bruises.
I never did hear if he got the snake?
This ten minute long video of "swerving" in Philly looks to be surprisingly multicultural. Maybe Philly truly is the city of brotherly love?
Anyhow, looks mostly like kids having fun being kids. Some of these kids have impressive skills. I suppose it beats sitting around getting fat playing video games.

I am sure people would find it amusing if a elderly person was driving their car while some punk did this?
I promise you this will NEVER catch on here in Texas. Every 3rd vehicle looks like this.
Some Darwin Candidate swerves in front of this? Likely the driver would never know it.
