May I remind you that Sessions is recused from any and all matters which could be tied back to the 2016 election? That means he is legally forbidden to be a part of any investigation having to do with the attempted coup.
If the coup plotters are ever indicted, and it comes out that Sessions had anything to do with the "behind-the-scenes" investigations, every one of them will walk free.

Exactly right. Further, if you read the 6th ammendment, it’s very clear exactly why Huber is forbidden to go after any crimes that happened outside his jurisdiction. And the language precludes just changing jurisdiction boundaries after a crime is committed.
Sessions isn’t, and won’t, go after any of them. Trump is in an awful situation, and there are no easy answers.
