Yup - they could have brought this up in the confirmation hearings.

The fact they didn’t suggests that Kavanaugh would have been able to dismiss their attempt to impugn his character.

So they resort to character assassination because they can’t point to anything that renders Kavanaugh unqualified to sit on fhe Supreme Court.

There is no honor and decorum in the conduct of the other side.

What they’ve done says a lot more about them than it does about Kavanaugh.

A source who said they were briefed on the contents of the letter said it described an incident involving Kavanaugh and a woman that took place when both were 17 years old and at a party. According to the source, Kavanaugh and a male friend had locked her in a room against her will, making her feel threatened, but she was able to get out of the room.

And of course the source has evidence that the judge was the one of the 2 boys that locked the door, plus there had to be a police report with the Judges questioning. There must be video, there always is. Cmon CNN crank up an old movie cameras and whip up a likely looking video proof of the claim from 1982 or so.
