Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tweeted out a false claim about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Wednesday.
The 2016 presidential candidate claimed that Kavanaugh referred to birth control pills as “abortion-inducing drugs” and warned that it was a “dog whistle to the extreme right.”

I can appreciate not always engaging. The ‘over sensitive weirdos’ have gravitated here in the last few years....use to be we had some really great debates...now it’s mostly drive by one liners at best. When things got too hot you just backed off the thread. Now they hardly engage in dialogue.
BUT!! there’s more o this story than people are covering. Hillary actually got one thing RIGHT:
” he misunderstands the basic science of birth control—the fact that birth control prevents fertilization of eggs in the first place...”
YES, YES, Hillary, that is the definition of birth control. Abortion, on the other hand, kills an already fertilized egg.
Problem for Hillary: the actual drugs the Priests For Life objected to prevented fertilization OR if fertilization had already occurred, prevented implantation, thus killing the embryo. Which is not birth control according to Hillary’s definition. It’s abortion, just as the Priest for Life claimed.
The only reason anyone disagrees with Hillary and the Priest for Life is that the politicized American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists changed the definition of conception in 1965 at the behest of Planned Parenthood:
“At the 1959 Planned Parenthood/Population Council symposium, Dr. Bent Boving argued for changing the definition by moving the date of conception from when fertilization occurs to when implantation occurs. He said that “the social advantage of [birth control] being considered to prevent conception rather than to destroy an established pregnancy could depend upon something so simple as a prudent habit of speech.”
