It was, especially the night of the attack. We could hear fighters flying low over the city and helicopters all night. It’s a tribute to our great American society that contrary to liberal mythology, there was no attack on Muslim communities that live close by in Brooklyn. But the worst thing was the smell from the site that lasted months.

I would imagine that sleep was hard to come by after seeing and hearing and smelling what you who lived close by experienced. I would still be having nightmares.

In my area there was one lone police helicopter going around inspecting the country side. There was no other flight. Never was the sky so clear and blue, with zero contrails. Felt like back to the Middle Ages or something
