From the constant reporting in Dallas, it was dark. I guess she saw him. They are trying so hard to make it a race issue. If it was dark in there, how did she even know it was a black man? It sounds like a tragic accident to me. She had only lived there a very short time. The parking garages and doors all look alike. She had just gotten off a 15 hour shift. She was off duty.

Investigators should find out if anybody else who lives there has tried to go into the wrong apartment.

...

We can thank Obama, the corrupt media, and the crooked Democrats for that.

An amazing sequence of events lead to the shooting, if you believe them.

The latest report is that the door was slightly ajar, so when she put her key in the door it opened. The apartment is dark, she sees the outline of a person, shouts out some kind of command and gets off 2 shots in the dark and hits the victim in the torso. In the dark. THEN she turns on the lights to discover she's in the wrong apartment.

A Dallas Country jury will decide if those are valid excuses for shooting a man in his own home.

If it was dark in there, how did she manage to shoot him with a handgun? Twice?

Firing a handgun accurately and hitting a target from several feet away is no sure thing under a stressful situation. Doing it in darkness - well, there's a lot going on with this officer's story.

Those are all lame, unacceptable excuses.
