President Trump May Be Preparing A Little Surprise Of His Own
Freedom Outpost ^ | 09/09/2018 | ELIZABETH VAUGHN

Chris Wallace says that the Woodward Book, the anonymous NYT op-ed, and Obama’s fiery speech were a “1-2-3 Punch” combination on Trump this week. But the word is that President Trump may be about to launch a devastating counterattack. It certainly looks that way.

The word is that the White House legal team is examining the original FISA Court application and renewal applications for the warrant to surveil Carter Page. As President Trump considers declassifying the 20 pages of these documents that were released completely (or heavily) redacted this summer, as many in Congress have requested, the White House wants to be certain that if anything needs to remain redacted, it will. Otherwise, the documents will be ready for declassification.

Trump alludes to it in a recent tweet:

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump The Deep State and the Left, and their vehicle, the Fake News Media, are going Crazy - & they don’t know what to do. The Economy is booming like never before, Jobs are at Historic Highs, soon TWO Supreme Court Justices & maybe Declassification to find Additional Corruption. Wow!

7:19 AM - Sep 6, 2018 128K 67.2K people are talking about this Twitter Ads info and privacy During an interview last week with Vince Coglianese and Saagar Enjeti of The Daily Caller, Trump was asked, “Do you think you’re going to be declassifying the FISA documents that have been targeting your campaign?” His answer was somewhat cryptic.

Well, we’re looking at it very seriously right now because the things that have gone on are so bad, so bad. I mean they were surveilling my campaign. If that happened on the other foot, they would’ve considered that treasonous. They would’ve considered that spying at the highest level. Can you imagine if we were doing that to Obama instead of Obama and his people doing that to us? Everybody would’ve been in jail for the next 500 years. Okay? Can you believe it, where they paid this guy millions of dollars, it turned out? If you look at all of the things that are happening.

Investigative reporter and journalist Sara A. Carter wrote that she has been told by numerous sources that the 20 pages of redacted material from these documents are expected to be declassified. The DOJ has been vehemently opposed to declassifying this information. Congressional members and investigators who have viewed the unredacted documents claim that they reveal explosive information about the FBI’s handling of the Trump-Russia investigation, according to sources. Why else would the DOJ fight so hard against their declassification?

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) appeared on Hannity recently and said, “The remaining classified documents regarding Page need to be declassified because there is exculpatory evidence…the judges should have been presented with this exculpatory evidence that the FBI and DOJ had.”

Another Congressional official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said, “All these documents will expose how the FBI handled this investigation and give clarity to the public. The American people deserve to know the truth and our country needs to move on.”

The importance of DOJ official Bruce Ohr’s role in this saga has only recently been uncovered. It was revealed that Ohr was in frequent communication by email and text with Christopher Steele and also met with him on numerous occasions, both before and after the FBI fired Steele for speaking to the media. Following Steele’s termination, the FBI wanted to continue receiving his information and counted on Ohr to provide it. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said:

The first guy that Bruce Ohr speaks to after meeting with Steele is Andy McCabe. Ohr calls him up a day or two later and meets with McCabe and Lisa Page.

So all the key people at the FBI know what’s going on before they take the dossier into the court. They know the full details of the dossier, they know who wrote it, who paid for it…and we don’t believe they conveyed any of that critical information to the FISA Court…

It was reported that a grand jury has been impaneled to investigate former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. Although it will likely be a lengthy process, it will be interesting to see if McCabe agrees to turn against his former colleagues in exchange for leniency.

Another new and noteworthy piece of the puzzle involves the relationship between Bruce Ohr and Andrew Weissmann, who is the Mueller team’s lead prosecutor. In 2016, Weissmann was the chief of the DOJ’s criminal fraud division.

According to Fox News’ Catherine Herridge, “Weissmann was “kept in the loop” by Ohr about his contact with Steele and the FBI, according to the report.”

Earlier this year, Sara Carter reported that:

Before Weissmann was appointed to the Special Counsel, he arranged a meeting with AP journalists investigating Paul Manafort and his Ukrainian business dealings. On April 11, 2017 Weissmann, the AP reporters and several FBI officials Weissmann brought into the meeting met with the reporters.

On April 12, the AP published the explosive expose on Manafort.

According to sources who spoke with this news outlet, the meeting was attended by three different litigating offices. Two employees from the U.S. Justice Department and the other representative was from the U.S. Attorney’s office, according to the sources. FBI agents also attended the meeting, law enforcement sources confirmed.

At the time Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller, and chief Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores also declined to comment.

According to sources, FBI officials at the meeting complained about Weissmann’s failure to follow protocol with journalists. They issued a formal complaint against him to the Justice Department, as they were concerned the meeting with the journalists could harm the ongoing probe into Russia’s involvement in the 2016 presidential election.”

The interrelationships in Washington are almost incestuous. Everyone who has spent any serious time in the city knows almost everyone else in some capacity. This is why the law states that “The Special Counsel shall be selected from outside the United States Government.” The selection of Robert Mueller, who has spent his entire career working for the US Government, actually violated the law.

So, once again, we are left to wait. Labor Day has past and the midterm elections are two months away. Does Trump release the documents that the deep state has fought so hard to keep classified? If so, when? Now, or does he wait for an October surprise?

“Trump needs to appoint a special prosecutor to uncover the Deep State cabal.”

According to the people who have seen the documents, releasing them will do just that.

These documents reveal the basis for the whole investigation and the reveal will be that there was no basis.

“...when Mueller’s witch hunt fails and the imaginary grounds for impeachment dry up and blow away...”

Imaginary grounds for impeachment fit the bill nicely for democrats.

This whole investigation has been imaginary and fueled only by headlines. NEVER by evidence.

“Something like this will be the start of Trump’s October Surprise for 2018.”

The democrats will run out an October surprise about every three day—some involving new accusations by women.

That may sound strange, but remember Hannity fell hook, line, and sinker for the slander against Moore that was the version of an October surprise.

“Trump needs to appoint a special prosecutor to uncover the Deep State cabal. It requires a deep, genuine investigation.”

I vote for Judge Janine! She’ll clean up the swamp with a million ton pump.

October Surprise, and this isn't all of it. The Dems had 1-2-3, Trump will one up them.

You take us out, we’ll take you out.

I think the negotiations with Mueller started out with Mueller asking for a perjury trap 9 months ago. But now there's enough public knowledge of wrongdoing, including by Mueller and his team, that the offer is going the other way. Specifically the offer is for Mueller to put out his nothingburger report in exchange for staying out of jail. The deadline is fast approaching.

Trump gave the Political Left an entire year to write their rebuttal talking points and plan a general strategy for the FISA document release.

Doesn't matter if they got a year or a day. The only difference is that we had a year of getting stuff done instead of a year with impeachment proceedings.

Trump’s team initiated the declassification process weeks ago. They objected to almost all of the original redactions, with written reasons why they objected.

According to written doj declassification process rules, Wray and Rosenstein need to sign off. They have had the “modified unredaction release proposal” for a couple weeks.

The procedure is, Wray and Rosenstsin first give it to the Deep state SES people who still control the process, and they came up with the usual reasons (sources and methods, etc.) for not unredacting. This part is done, and where the front line battle is right now.

Sessions is useless, as usual, supporting “the process” and “the career guys,” and otherwise taking a pass. Coward.

Now there are options.

1. The line-by-line objection/response battle is ongoing. The deep state SES a$$holes are relenting slowly, one word at a time. Back and forth with Trump’s people. Eventually, a less redacted version can be released, whenever Trump’s team says f’it, time’s too short (midterms).

2. Trump can override “The Declassification Process,” and go with the minimal redactions versions. He is daily considering it. There will be “hell to pay” for doing it, from the usual suspects. “Let the process play out!” is the cowardly motto even of supposed good guys. Bad guys are tossing out “Treason!” etc. DOJ (Wray, Rosenstein) will refuse the order. But Trump’s team has the docs and can do it on their own. Big big big nuclear blowup, if that happens. Wray and Rosenstein will certainly be fired, just likely delayed till after midterms. Likely.

3. A certain Congressman, with true copies of the documents, can read them into the Congressional Record. This is the main reason the DOJ fought so hard to only let them read the docs, and not get copies. This may require Trump to give a direct order to give the Congressman true copies. This likely has already taken place, as Trump’s declass guys have them anyway and can bypass the doj. So the certain Congressman is waiting on Trump to give him the ok. Said Congressman will take a big hit, and Trump hates letting someone else do that.

My guess? There is a “drop dead deadline” in Trump’s head, and will pull the trigger on #2 or #3. Deadline?

Very soon. Days, not weeks.

I wouldn’t say the Nuñez memo fizzled. It laid out the corrupt origins of this whole thing. It was not a knockout. It was still important. There has to be more to put an end to this.

>>I still want to know who dotted Harry’s eye LOL<<

It happened twice! lol.

I sure hope Trump gets off the stool and starts landing some punches. Not just a snarky tweet or two. Trump needs to expose these people. Release documents, command the DOJ to investigate...fire those who do not.

Trump's presidency is in serious trouble. He is taking fire from every direction...and all he does is tweet. Drives me mad. This man has absolutely NOTHING to lose here. Hit them hard, hit them often.

Then...declare a national security threat along the Southern border, send in the military, corps of engineers and construct the wall despite the dems/Rino’s objections. Just get-r-done. That will send the establishment reeling on their heels.

Counter punch Mr. President.

Just a little reality for everyone, the FISA applications will be helpful, but they aren’t going to declare all these people as crooks. The dems / media are prepared to spin the applications as supporting the investigation. I don’t know why everyone is pinning such hope on what certainly will not be a knock out punch.
