FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) Kentucky Republicans have added more than 58,000 registered voters since Donald Trump took office while Democrats have lost more than 2,500.
The GOP registration boom nudged the number of registered Democrats below 50 percent in June for the first time in memory. The impressive registration gains have boosted the GOPs confidence they can prevent a blue wave this November.

Just maybe the word is getting out to the illegal alien community that registering to vote is a sure way to get your butt kicked out of the USA.
Non-citizens commit a felony when they register to vote. Actual voting only increases the penalty.
That’s it Democrats. Keep shoving Cortez, Gillum and the assorted Left wing nuts in everybody’s face.
Beware of the Bowling Green area.
Lots of college kids.

Bowling Green/Warren County went for President Trump 59% to 35% over Hillary in 2016

That’s good news, but unless Republicans go to the polls and vote for Republican candidates, it will mean nothing.
In his article at https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/09/trump-russia-probe-robert-mueller-investigation/ Andrew McCarthy has some useful comments regarding election strategy:
“If policy were all that mattered, the Trump presidency would be a rousing success. The economy is humming. The yokes of tax and regulation have been eased to the extent that, despite tariff hijinks, unemployment has plummeted and employers have trouble filling positions. Meanwhile, the federal courts are being stocked with exemplary jurists who, for decades, will be faithful stewards of the Constitution.
Alas, theres a lot more to it than policy. You want to slough off as unreliable the latest ABC/Washington Post poll that has Trumps job approval at just 38 percent (with 60 percent disapproving)? Okay . . . but since he seems hell-bent on personalizing the midterms as a referendum on him, it is less easy to ignore that the so-called generic ballot is swinging the Democrats way: by nearly 10 points according to FiveThirtyEight, while even more Trump-friendly Rasmussen reflects a recent Democratic surge to a four-point lead.
As the Wall Street Journals Dan Henninger observes, the presidents loyal base, consisting of roughly a third of the voting public, is going to be with him and, presumably, with Republicans. Still, if a Democratic takeover of the House is to be avoided, the GOP desperately needs the voters who reluctantly pulled the lever for Trump only because he was not Hillary Clinton.
You may notice that Mrs. Clinton is not on the ballot this time. Meanwhile, in just the last few days, the president has attacked his attorney general yet again, this time for prosecuting two allegedly corrupt Republican congressmen and thus refusing to politicize the Justice Department; he has conflated himself with the country in absurdly suggesting that an anonymous derogatory op-ed by an administration official might amount to TREASON, such that the New York Times should turn [the author] over to the government at once for the sake of National Security; and he has used Communist North Koreas murderous anti-American dictator Kim Jong-un as a character reference. If this is the plan for turning out the Trump-skeptical vote, I respectfully suggest that it needs rethinking.”
To get people to the polls you have to make them think something important is at stake. Therefore, pound on two things: The plan to impeach Pres. Trump and the border. Many Republicans seem to be running mainly the economy. That doesn’t motivate people to get out and vote.
Are the Democrat candidates saying “I don’t want a strong economy”? The question answers itself. This is why primarily focusing on the economy is so stupid. Most of the GOPe candidates will be running on it though, following the advice of their GOPe consultants not to defend the President or talk about the border. They believe that talking about the economy is “safe”, i.e. non-controversial. By following the “safe” option many of them will be goners. At least we’ll be rid of those idiots.
You might find a blue wave at Rupp Arena.
I think the Blue Wave is just propaganda. Trumps approval rating was higher than any aRepublican president just a few weeks ago. It looks like the Dems are using psyops to dispirit Republican voters and bolster their own. That can work, given enough time but not so quickly.
Republicans have gained over 58,000 registered while Dims have lost 2500 IN SPITE of Bowling Green college students.
Same in Idaho.collefe towns are blue pimples on Idaho’s butt.
So that is why this statistic is so significant. Freeper "LS" has been tracking these registration changes here for several years and accurately predicted Trump's 2016 victory based in large part on voter registration swings in key states.
One would think that this would be true, but for midterm elections, I think that actual results have been different.
I saw one poll the other day that had the dem generic lead at only two points.
