Tonight is dedicated to a song of Harry’s that earned him immortality and was recorded by a whole host of artists. Billy Rose and Mort Dixon were Harry’s lyricists.
This is early Bing from 1931 as he was in the process of changing from a hard drinking brawler into America’s favorite baritone crooner. He sings the intro in the middle just after that brief turn into the minor key for the middle eight, then does some laid back scat singing.
