A Dallas police officer who fatally shot her neighbor and later explained she had mistaken his apartment for hers will be charged with manslaughter, the police chief said Friday.

Nope!
Ad block or U-verse Origin. It’s like a condom against catching ads. You should try it.
Out west, at least in WA state, LEO’s go home in uniform and take their cruisers home with them in some cases.
That’s pretty stupid.
Most big city cops never do this...They get wise really fast.
Yes. Two blocks from the Dallas police department and no one had a throwdown?
Negligent homicide is the same as manslaughter in most states although there can be different statutory nuances between the two. There can also be degrees of manslaughter, such as involuntary and voluntary.
This is what happens when a person’s highest qualification for being an officer is that she has a vagina.
My scenario is she gets off shift, has a couple of pops at a local watering hole on the way home. Goes home a little (or a lot) tipsy tries to enter the wrong apartment (Ive read that her key was in the door and she was yelling she was a cop). The guy looks sees she was a cop and opens the door. She figures its not her boyfriend etc and blasts away. Definitely manslaughter or even second degree murder.
Other than that she was spot on
Other than that Mrs Lincoln, how did you like the play
See #8.
Would you do that alone with zero support/backup?
Probably needed her ashes hauled too.
Incorrect. She did everything wrong, 100%. And that's why she's now charged with manslaughter.
I do not believe her account. I don’t believe she didn’t know it wasn’t her apartment.
I want murder 2 charges. Screw this pussy pass accepting outrageous excuses from women. She fuching murdered someone. Damn she shot an innocent man in his own damn apartment, so his life is just worthless.
Shes an officer, there ought to be a higher standard for lethal fuch ups. They have and claim special protections and supposedly are trained better than all of us to handle these types of situations.
Shes lying. I dont believe her. Murder 2, if not getting her to admit or that we find out later she had problems with this particular neighbor.
So many unanswered questions
"What? Meatloaf again!" Blam, blam.
Well, sometimes they screw up so badly, like in this case, even special protections only go so far.
Don’t know if she’s lying but I do know she screwed up big league.
“Other than that she was 100% spot on...cop or no cop.”
Shooting someone who is in THEIR HOME, minding their own business, is 100% spot on?
If I walk into my home - my OWN home - and spot an intruder, I’ll PULL my gun. I’ll be READY to shoot. But if my family shot everyone who was a potential threat, my wife would have shot a neighbor’s drunk teenage son, who wandered into our backyard by mistake and STARTED to open the rear door. Then he, as drunk as he was, realized something looked wrong!
Pulling a gun in self-defense doesn’t always mean opening fire immediately. If I had, then 40 years ago I’d have killed some probable bad guys instead of walking away without shooting. And since I’m not a cop, I’d probably have been in big trouble for shooting some guys who acted like a threat when I got back to my car after a hike. Acted, but who hadn’t pulled a weapon (although there were 8 of them and one of me).
A guy shot an unarmed woman who came up behind their patrol car in Minneapolis. A guy shot a 12 year old boy with a pellet gun...before he had a chance to show it was a toy. A guy shot a man who was legally carrying a firearm in Las Vegas. Two guys shot an unarmed man in Sacramento. A guy shot an unarmed suspect in Tulsa because he mistook his pistol for his taser. A guy shot an unarmed suspect in the back when he was fleeing in South Carolina. Please don't blame it all on women cops when there are so many inept male ones around as well.
In general, the PC world that we live in has gotten us here. Hate to say it, was a copper for 25 years. I strongly felt that women had no place on the job, especially Patrol. Call me what you want, but its the truth. Plus there are too many former school teachers now on the streets , who have not a clue.
