In the situation where there are two Democrats running, the Republicans actually become the “King Makers”. It puts the Democrats in a weird position of trying to snag some Republican vote without alienating their base.

I am voting for De Leon. He will go to Congress as a very low seniority member. His positions will also be SO out of the mainstream that Democrats will have to disown him.

There’s no “right” answer, but I will be voting for Feinstein. I’d bet a thousand bucks de Leon comes out as a “democratic socialist” if elected and becomes a catalyst for further gains by them. Plus, Feinstein probably won’t live out her term. If lightning strikes and Cox gets elected governor, he’d appoint the replacement
