that ended up in Bob Woodward's bombshell book in massive White House security breach
Journalist Bob Woodward's book lays out how economic advisor took an unsigned memo to start pulling out of the deal from Trump's desk
{snip}
A letter stolen from Donald Trump's Oval Office desk by his top economic adviser to stop him from ending a trade deal with South Korea is published in full in Bob Woodward's bombshell book on the president.

One wonders. Every senior executive I’ve worked with has a log of every document that goes on his desk recording the title, date, author, etc. The log is then annotated when the document leaves the desk along with disposition.
So if Trump thinks that trade is so bad, why did Trump just agree to a new trade deal with Mexico. Trump’s policy had always been trade but he wants better trade deals. Woodward is a joke.
All of this mentally ill hysteria from the left socialists globalists and mindless drones is this, no matter what trump does or is he’s a

Cohn is a registered Democrat, and is definitely connected to the big money power structure out of NYC, including Goldman Sachs - where his salary in 2015 was ~$21 million. When he left them to join the administration his severance package was ~$285 million. This is crazy money for a guy with a bachelors degree in business who is just working for a company/investment house. It also underscores how being connected to big money begets big money, why big money works to influence US monetary policy, and the amount of resources they have at their disposal to do so.
I'm sure those on this gravy train don't want anything to upset their foreign deals and investments, and don't want anything like a ‘trade war’ to complicate their business dealings and threaten the flow of big money.
This is what Trump is up against in trying to fight for those who voted for him. It also makes it clear that most of us are just along for the ride when it comes to having much influence on how our economy runs and where the money goes. It took a billionaire like Trump, who is not beholden to the system, to have the reach to be able to fight the system. Most others who have that kind of money appear to be part of the system - in one way or another. We need major, major reform.
Omarosa, you have been a busy, bad girl!
This supposed story which is probably another lie from a guy who interviewed a comatosed man in a hospital appears to be a low level nothing .
Exactly, someone is looking at a legal issue right now.
But further along, we are now re-working trade deals all over and to a great extent to the benefit of the United States. Hard to make an argument that President Trump thinks “Trade is Bad” when he’s working so hard to create better, more beneficial deals for the United States.
I am still convinced if the Republicans hold both house and senate and with five conservative seats on SCOTUS with the potential of two more, every organization and person that went after Trump will wind up having some charges brought against them.
Funny thing is the Democrats, the propaganda arm and militant wing of the party brought this upon themselves.
Was the NYT Op Ed created by Woodward as a Deep Throat promotion of his book?
If course but never stop FReepers when they’re on a concern roll
lol
The way we do it trade is bad for the American worker.
international = traitor.
Remember Woodward claimed that he interviewed William Casey on his deathbed while Casey was actually in a coma. He is not credible in any wise.
Under the Trump administration, Cohn has been cited by the press as a supporter of globalism, and has been given nicknames such as "Globalist Gary" and "Carbon Tax Cohn".[33]
What???!?! A globalist, carbon-tax-pushing Democrat might steal a memo and misrepresent it (or make it up, outright)???!?!?
SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!
When you rant and rave about globalism, you overlook lots of reality but especially that people of the world oppose a global government. The concept of globaalism, a global government ,is not favored by the Japanese, the Koreans, the Brazilians, the Russians, the Mexicans, the Swiss, the Nigerians....... nobody of consequence.
To inflate globalism to include all actions outside our borders is a foolish and futile concept. America has been before it was America and is now still focused on trading where ever there are products we want to buy and customers for products we want to sell.
The business of America is business
There are winners and losers in that kind of "free trade" but lying scum bag globalists like you will never admit that and that is why I basically hate your guts. Even the right wing hero Rush Limbaugh has admitted he was wrong about trade and has done a 180 on the issue.
In better times Free Traitors would be hanging from lamp posts....
This was in UK newspaper. If there ever was a poster child for destroying a nations manufacturing base and weakening a once might nation with “free trade” it is the UK.
No, as always you still have it wrong.
The President is as we post actually reducing the barriers on our exports. That means that your perception of the President as being against global trade is not only wrong, but really, really wrong. President Trump is promoting trade.
By your definition, President Trump is a Free Traitor.
