The last time President Trump traveled to Montana, Democrat Senator Jon Tester welcomed him with open arms, placing full-page ads in 14 newspapers praising the President.
This time, Tester wont be so excited to see Donald Trump. With a big boost from the President at the Great Falls rally on July 5, Testers opponent has since gained ground in the race for the U.S. Senate.
Prior to that visit, the Republican Senate candidate Matt Rosendale was trailing Democrat incumbent, Senator Jon Tester, by 8 points. Just one month later, the Republican candidate has flipped 10 points and now leads Tester 47 percent to 45 percent.
Thousands of people who showed up in Great Falls in July to hear the President speak left the arena with a fiery enthusiasm for the America First agenda. Their excitement is reflected in Rosendales rise in the polls.
Montana is just a small reflection of whats possible when Donald Trump gets involved.
In case after case across the country, the Trump effect has manifested itself in both GOP primaries and general election outcomes. Through campaign rallies and midterm endorsements, President Trump is impacting races across the 2018 political landscape. Hell make a huge, if not decisive, difference in November.
President Trump has had a near perfect record in special House elections, and endorsed over a dozen Republican candidates who went on to win their respective primaries.
For instance, when Republican congressional candidate Troy Balderson was trailing in the special election for Ohios 12th Congressional District, President Trump saved the day with a last minute rally in Delaware County, a pivotal area of the district. His intervention ultimately secured Baldersons victory.
That track record of success is bad news for Jon Tester. When President Trump visits Billings on Thursday night, he wont hesitate to remind Montanans just what Tester stands for and just what they stand to lose if Tester is reelected.
Tester voted against the tax cuts that created thousands of new jobs and higher paychecks for Montanans, supports sanctuary cities that protect illegal aliens, and has voted against nearly every single one of the Presidents appointments.
Tester and his fellow Democrats also threaten the incredible economic progress weve gained across Montana. In July, the Montana unemployment rate dropped to 3.7 percent its lowest level in 11 years and the state has added nearly 7,000 jobs since the President took office.
Ultimately, President Trumps visit to Billings will remind the people of Montana that despite Jon Testers promises to represent them faithfully, hes done little but represent the interests of the Democrat Party.
Tester may praise President Trump yet again, but when the President comes to town and reminds Montanans just whats at stake in November, no number of gushing newspaper ads will be enough to save Jon Tester from the Trump effect.

Trump is a game changer!
Either with Trump or out of office. About time we have a President that plays to win.
It’s extremely difficult to believe that ANYONE in Montana voted democrat.
The world is changing.
Excellent. I had not realized the state had flipped that much and had thought Tester would cruise to re-election. Sounds like this will be another pickup along with Florida.
That leaves tight races in Missouri and Indiana to concentrate on since I’m confident Marsha Blackburn is going to win in Tennessee and retain that seat for the Republicans.
I’m waiting for the election results which should read as:
Rosendale wins election. Tester loses, seat and testicles.
Montana needs a good laugh.
Testercal is a complete phony. I can’t see how he was and stayed elected. He’s one of those Rats that have the “ hyuck, he’s got a butch haircut, he must be just a hick like me” look and the dummies vote for the bassturd.
I think he’s making a “stop” in South Dakota on the way back to roast Heidi Heltcamp and boost her GOP challenger tomorrow.
Jon Tester, you have done a bad job. You’re Fired! Now get out of here.
Ive been praying fervently that Trump will have great wisdom in knowing where and when to hold rallies. I will be adding to that wisdom and effectiveness for the tweetstorm you will see the week before the election.
Show us what you are made of Montana and throw that bum out!!
Trump logically explains why and how people should support him by supporting the republican candidate. He gives specific voting records People get it!
He is picking off one senate seat at a time in a very methological manner. RED wave of PDJT creation is on the horizon. He is working very hard to insure it.
MT people are notoriously unreliable in Senate races, and they voted for Mr. Bill in 1996.
Let’s pray you’re right, or we are doomed by the left.
We need more Senate Republicans so when I choose Amy Coney Barrett to replace RBG there will be no hiccups!!!
People really don’t seem to get what an effective weapon Trump is on the campaign trail. He’s already making a big difference in key states and it’s not random where he’s going for his rallies.
He’s also a very good speaker and far ahead of almost any other politician in his ability to talk off the cuff without a written speech, connect the logic for the audience, and get the audience amused, engaged and fired up
“I think hes making a stop in South Dakota on the way back to roast Heidi Heltcamp and boost her GOP challenger tomorrow.”
I believe Heitcamp is North Dakota.
