The laws of this country prohibit the swift prosecution of illegals even when they cross in to the country illegally. when they come in thru ports, they can be released pending a hearing, that may take months.

Those sound more like bureaucratic rules and procedures, rather than actual laws.

I could be proven wrong, but I'd be willing to bet that those procedures are nowhere to be found in the immigration laws passed by Congress.

I'm of the opinion that we're failing to rigorously enforce the laws we already have on the books.

That’s only partly true, but you have things like “Catch and Release” and chain migration, and visa lottery etc.

We’re seeing from this SCOTUS hearing how congress hasn’t does didly. People expect the courts to rule.

The Senate is nothing more than a circus.
