Listened to as much as I could stand until he started bashing Trump and assumed that Judge Kavanaugh agrees with him.

David French is wrong. Congresscritters are not glorified pundits. They aren’t glorified anything. They are craven cowards.
I want to say that I was wrong about this great American. I watched him today with tears dripping down my old face.. that is one of the greatest orations regarding the the pathetic delegation of constitutional DUTY. Of Congress I have ever seen!! Sasse has been afraid of our President but I forgive him.

He was bashing the whole system as is and it’s failure to do it’s job as written in the constitution. especially the responsibilities of the legislative branch including himself. What he presented was not aimed at the current executive branch, but was a factual history lesson in how the whole system, all three branches, has been an ongoing problem starting in the 30’s and getting much worse in the 60’s because the legislative branch, which he himself is part of, has been too lazy to do their jobs.
He is absolutely right and spot on. When they punt the ball to another agency who has no checks or balances or accountability to the people, the people have been bypassed and are not being represented as they should be per the constitution as written and intended. And he is right, the executive branch and the judicial branches do not make the laws, the legislative branch does and they are shirking their duties.
Good history lesson about constitutional duties. And had they done their jobs when Obama was in office, we would not have the problems we have now. And as we know Obama was the worst offender yet in trying to rule by executive order and Supreme Court influence because the legislative branch dropped the ball allowing him and his executive branch to intercept and run with it.
He didn’t bash Trump... He bashed what the combined three branches has become since the 30’s including bashing himself as part of it gone wrong.
The legislative branch has “self neutered themselves” just like he stated in this. This was one of the best speeches about self accountability as law makers I have seen in many years now. Spot on, no matter who the characters happen to be in the past, present, and the future...
