Well lets think this thru ..... I hope they have a small machine / fabrication shop up there to maintain the ISS. Didn’t they just deliver a 3D Direct Metal Laser Sintering Printer to test ?? Print the part, refine and finish with a 9 axis mini CNC ??
Would also think they have a SET SIZE of fasteners ...... sort of like build the ISS from half inch fasteners and bring a half inch set of tools versus a billion dollar set of “snap on tools” ...... the 2mm evidence probably got pushed out the hole if the suspect was an astronaut type thinker stinker ......
