Among other unrealistic things, the protesters want them to turn closed down schools into businesses. What sort of business? Nothing that requires walk-in trade. Certainly nothing but the lightest of manufacturing, as there would be no infrastructure. How would the businesses provide themselves with security. Schools can’t be repurposed unless the purpose is setting up benches to make paper airplanes.

The protesters are, apparently, idiots. This is
“community organizing” at its finest. Make noise and occupy something until somebody does whatever you want them to do.

There are two schools I know of one in Portland and one in Sacramento that have been converted to centers of commerce. The one in portland has public offices and businesses. The one in Sac had a theatre/auditorium and that’s profitable theatre.

You need to go way outside the box
