68% of Voters: Illegal Immigration ‘Major Problem,’ Feds Not Doing Enough

A Rasmussen Reports poll shows a majority of American voters — 68 percent — believe that illegal immigration is a “major problem” and that the federal government is not doing enough to fix it. The poll also shows that 43 percent of voters consider illegal immigration to be a “very serious” problem.

A minority of respondents to the telephone and online survey, only 32 percent, said illegal immigration is “not a serious problem,” and nine percent said it is “not at all serious.”

In July, a Morning Consult poll revealed that American voters who say they are independents are divided almost evenly on whether Republicans or Democrats can be trusted to handle immigration issues — 35 percent said Democrats versus 34 percent who said Republicans are better suited to deal with it.

The Rasmussen Reports poll is the result of a survey of 1,000 likely voters and was conducted on August 26-27, 2018. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus three percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence.

If that is real number, which I don’t doubt, the Democrats have a big problem on their hands. We just need to make sure that immigration trumps all other concerns, pun intended. Do get distracted with abortion, which the Democrats always bring up as a ready wedge issue. Seriously, how many elections were won/lost for this? And, I say this because we are seeing it already occur in the media. They’d rather discuss this than immigration, Republicans too often fall for it AND LOSE. I’m against abortion, funding Planned Parenthood, etc., but seriously, it is not a winning issue in a campaign. Deal with it instead via legislation.

The next time the Democrats get power, they will do these things:

1. bring in between 50 and 100 million third-world immigrants with no education or skills
2. attempt (again) to do away with secret balloting in Federal elections institute a per-mile tax on all driving in America
3. allow Sharia law to be enforced in areas of our country that have high Muslim population densities
4. encourage violence against Christians wherever possible and thwart prosecution of the attackers
5. set up government control of content on the internet
