John McCain is being laid to rest at the U.S. Naval Academy after a five-day procession that served as a final call to arms for a nation he warned could lose its civility and sense of shared purpose.
The private ceremony in Annapolis, Maryland, was as carefully planned as the rest of McCain's farewell tour, which began in Arizona after he died Aug. 25 from brain cancer and stretched to Washington.

I thought they would never bury the guy....surprised the didn’t weekend at Bernie’s for a couple more news cycles.

True but at least Aretha was freeze dried most of the time and was only dragged onto our screens for a 2-3 days while kamikaze John’s carcass was a constant presence prop intruding on our daily lives through the media with his progressive chorus ringing in our ears for days on end.This man was not worthy of shining Reagan’s shoes yet apparently he managed on his deathbed to choreograph more time than Reagan’s memorial for his exit. SNL last night was a repeat of the 2002 Show that John McCain Hosted.
I didn’t recall seeing it back then so I watched some of it.
The John McCain that was on the Show was not the same bitter Old Man he had become. The Tim Russert MTP Sketch was funny.
McCain by normal measures isn't eligible for the Naval Academy either. He had to get a special dispensation from the Secretary of the Navy for this.
Lot of brave me buried at the academy, not sure McCain should there. What is telling and raises questions is why would McCain not want to be buried at Arlington with his Father and Grandfather????????????????

Excellent idea - but a landfill might unduly offend the deep state and the mainslime media scum, etc, etc. So, in order to afford the quisling songbird's reechy carcass the dignity and honors to which, in the opinion of the deep state, etc., it be entitled, the only course of action would be the honor and ceremony afforded to the well-known English quisling, Oliver Cromwell, several years after his death.
Cool story.
