Turkey's official news agency says three people have been arrested for alleged involvement in a drive-by shooting at the U.S. Embassy last month.
Anadolu news agency said a court ordered them to be jailed pending trial. Three others who had been detained were released on Saturday under judicial control, requiring them to regularly check in with authorities.

Why, cuz they were only bullets instead of RPGs ?
A Turkish girl about twenty worked at a resort I visited this summer. She was blond and spoke very good English. I asked her where they learn it and she told me they take it in school. She acted like an average American girl. They can’t all be bad over there.
No Turk can so much as LOOK at a PICTURE of a gun without Caliph Erdogan’s permission, let alone hold & fire one.
This is a shot fired across America’s bow.
Thanks markomalley.
They’re probably receiving remedial marksmanship training and better rifles.
Spent two years in Ankara and can tell you the second most dangerous time of the year:
When Turkey wins a World Cup soccer game. We’d receive alerts from the embassy to stay indoors, away from windows due to the massive amounts of lead shot into the sky from tens of thousands of balconies. One year 12 people died after being hit by falling bullets. One of our neighbors in a smaller building across the road had a full-auto and he would let her rip several times a night during the World Cup.
We were warned not to argue after a traffic accident, as most Turks were armed.
Why anybody would volunteer to go to Turkey is beyond me.
My mistake. So, Turks are armed and the Turkish police know it. The World Cup is a secular event but Erdogan is turning Turkiye toward radical Islam. The secularism of Kemal Ataturk is being swept aside & it is no idle joke that Erdogan is trying on turbans, those of the Sultan and the Caliph.
Ironic since Ataturk banned the fez and forced Turks to wear Western chapeaus. I guess Turkish women will be donning hijabs next.
One doesn’t always get a choice of duty stations. Turkey was my 14th PCS move in 22 years.
