For the clusters of onlookers, besuited power players and three former presidents who had all traveled to Washington National Cathedral, the muggy day was a historic opportunity to memorialize the life of Senator John McCain, who was remembered as a deeply patriotic war hero, a former Republican presidential candidate and a scrappy, humanly flawed, ultimately idealistic lawmaker.
For President Trump, it was Saturday.
In the many discussions about how to mark his life that Mr. McCain had with his staff and family before he died, he had made clear he did not want Mr. Trump to participate in anything they planned. So as Mr. McCain was eulogized in the presence of much of the American political establishment, Mr. Trump, pointedly uninvited, engaged in what by now is a familiar weekend routine. He sent a series of angry tweets aimed at some political adversaries, then left the White House to play a round of golf at his resort in Virginia.

If you ever come to LA you should check out the Trump Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, its absolutely GORGEOUS, my family went there last week for the first time for brunch..when I saw that golf course its no wonder President Trump loves golfing so much

This whole dog and pony show of McCain's and the media fawning over him, confirms just how "small" McCain's was and how much anger and hatred he had in him.
The media likes the "Maverick" because he's willing to backstab his own party in the back instead of representing his constituency.
McCain liked himself because he could still play these petty games from the grave.
His luster is tarnished some more. Lousy legacy if you ask me.
It’s good to see the Uniparty united in this reunion funeral. They can commiserate together about the fact that in two month’s time, their respective agendas will be dead in the water for a generation.
One of the smartest things Trump ever did is to make that joke about “I like heroes who don’t get caught”. Millions of patriots cheered that, and it was the beginning of the end for Kristol, McCain, Flake, Hewitt, Will, Schumer, Pelosi, Wilson, and all the rest.

A good laugh from the mental image of a grieving Pres Trump and an envious bunch of political hypocrites who had little choice than to participate in this farcical funeral drama. Pres Trump sure knows how to weather this political snub from the grave of one of his NO Trump fans.
Of all the bash Trump, love McCain storytellers out there, 99% of them Voted for the Marxist Mulatto Barack Obama in 2008 and the Uranium Saleswoman of the Century Hillary “Benghazi” Clinton in 2016.
Trump might have attended the funeral instead if he hadn’t been told he wasn’t welcome.
